Throughout the afternoon on Saturday of 2014 Pride Weekend, enjoy a different live open-air performance from a local artist or artist group every hour as part of our Performing Arts Showcase. Pride weekend continues with the second day of our two-day Arts Festival on Sunday, June 22nd. The open-air festival will feature regional artists, non-profits, commercial vendors and food trucks arranged along the 39th Street strip. If you would like to have a display at the festival, you can register for a booth at http://okcpride.org/2014/2014-festival-registration/. OKC Pride is excited to welcome Mary Bishop, Sharon Baldwin, Sue Barton and Gay Phillips as the Grand Marshals for our 2014 Pride Parade. As plaintiffs in the Oklahoma marriage equality lawsuit currently on appeal in the 10th District Circuit Court, these amazing women are leading the fight for marriage equality in our state. AIDS Walk OKC will be holding its annual walk and 5k run on September 28th, 2014! The theme for this year is “Step Together”. The mission of the AIDS Walk of Oklahoma City is to build awareness about HIV/AIDS and to raise funds to support the work of nonprofit organizations that provide HIV/AIDS direct care, support services, and education.
